Here’s a quick update:
I contacted several companies advertising carpet cleaning services online. Below you’ll find two conversations I had — both companies are Polish, so I’m sharing translated versions of the original messages.
Novatidydundee (based in Dundee):
This company didn’t respond to the initial email, but I managed to get a reply after sending a follow-up message via Facebook. The communication was fairly normal and professional overall. They also sent some before-and-after photos from previous carpet cleanings, which I’ve included below.

Similarly, they didn’t respond to the email and only replied after I contacted them on Facebook. The conversation was more difficult and, in my opinion, not handled in a way that reflects well on a professional business. Full exchange is included below for reference.
Unfortunately, the other companies I contacted didn’t reply at all. These were:

I’ve followed up today with the two companies that didn’t respond earlier — we’ll see if they come back with anything, assuming they reply at all.

Our company takes on such challenges — I believe that with the right chemicals and pre-brushing of the entire surface using a strong cleaning solution, we should be able to significantly improve the condition of the carpet.
We always aim to meet our clients’ expectations and do our best to achieve excellent results.
As for the price, it would be easier for us to give an estimate if we could do a viewing to assess the type of contamination we are dealing with.
Nonetheless, I think the cost would be somewhere between £80–£100.

The point is that the clients would like to know whether the carpet can be restored, whether it’s worth it, and what the price range would be.

I think the total cost would be a maximum of £100–£120, including travel expenses.
I believe the carpet can be cleaned — we’ve dealt with heavy stains many times before.
Of course, the carpet won’t look brand new, and strong stains might leave some slight marks, though nothing too visible.
I’ll send you some photos of carpets we’ve managed to restore to a much better condition — maybe that will help with the decision.
