Bathroom Renovation Quote for Simon

Scope of work:

  1. Wallpaper removal – Removing existing wallpaper from the walls.

  2. Wall mould treatment – Applying anti-fungal treatment to eliminate any signs of moisture or mould.

  3. Painting walls with PVA – Applying PVA (polyvinyl acetate) to improve adhesive bonding for future finishes.

  4. Installation of Wet Wall panels – Installing panels on the walls for better moisture protection.

  5. Floor tile removal – Removing the existing floor tiles.

  6. Installation of plywood and vinyl – Preparing the subfloor and laying new vinyl flooring.

Suggestion regarding the floor under the bathtub – I recommend not laying the floor under the bathtub, as it will save costs related to removing and reinstalling the tub. In practice, there is no need to install flooring under the tub, but this decision is up to the client.

  7. Radiator replacement – Removing the old radiator and installing a new one.

  8. Ceiling installation – Installing plasterboard (gypsum) ceiling, applying tape and joint, and painting it white.

I would like to add that I fully understand the tenants’ situation is difficult, and their work takes place both during the day and at night. Nevertheless, renovating a bathroom is a process that cannot be done “in bits and pieces.” Sometimes, it will be necessary to stay longer on-site to efficiently complete certain stages. Of course, we are flexible and can adjust to the circumstances, but if we are accommodating the tenants’ needs, we also expect mutual understanding and cooperation. Everything can be worked out – some stages of the work will need to be finished quickly, while others may require staying a bit longer, which will ultimately help save time on the overall bathroom renovation.
